Our client is an established firm in the Shipping Industry with several decades of ship-owning experience in dry and wet fleets. They have been managing their assets technically and commercially as a leading organization. To lead its expansion plan from Singapore our client is looking for its:
**Senior Human Resources Manager**
(Based in Singapore - Regional Role)

**ORGANIZATION**:
Reporting to the senior management team, your key focus will be to be an HR and Crewing partner to the business across the region.

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As part of the HR and operations team, you will lead both strategic and operational HR management of the company’s regional offices and manage efficient and effective crewing of vessels.

**HR Partnering (Shore-Based HR)**
- Lead people management processes and spearhead HR initiatives in areas like talent acquisition, talent management, and talent retention.
- Support senior management in organizational development, and change management
- Formulate and drive new HR initiatives and roll out policies and procedures for the global organization.

**Marine HR (Crewing)**
- Supervise and drive initiatives for the crewing functions (with the support of Crewing Manager) for ocean-going vessels, ensuring the recruitment, retention, and development of high-quality officers and crew members
- Develop and implement HR and crewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
- Lead and manage the strategic expansion of seafarers pool from the company’s traditional sources to new sources (countries).

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or seafaring background, Master’s degree in business desirable
- Demonstrable track record of driving change in business
- Proficiency in English and Chinese to interact with internal and external stakeholders in North Asia, is required
- Willingness to adapt and learn HR Partnering (Shore-Based HR) if you have a background in Marine HR operations and vice versa.
- Overall 10 years of experience in HR management of which a minimum of 5 years in the shipping industry is a must
