Tuas, Singapore Pfizer Full time

The Tuas, Singapore API Facility is a key strategic manufacturing part of the PGS Network. Many of the Pfizer’s important new innovative medicines are being transferred to the Site to support the overall growth and breakthrough strategy. There are 2 API manufacturing facilities in the innovative network, the Ringaskiddy site in Cork Ireland and the Singapore Site. Ringaskiddy is the default location for all small molecule API launches. Once robust, the API is transferred to Tuas to ensure dual sourcing, guaranteed supply and capacity relief in Ringaskiddy supporting growth. In addition, the Tuas facility is undergoing an expansion whereby seven products will move from one production building to another within the facility. This will be followed by a contraction where the older production building will be divested. These transfers must happen flawlessly to ensure the Tuas site meets its commitments. To support flawless transfers, the technical strength of the Site must be similar to the Ringaskiddy site. As the Ringaskiddy site has the PDC (Process Development Centre) to support technical bench strength and overall expertise we must create a stand-alone function in Tuas to replicate this Organizational Design. This Technical development and services lead role will focus on the transfers into the new facility and is crucial to the strategic success of the site.

The Tech Services Sr Manager will be responsible for leading the Technical Services Team at the new facility resulting in an improved scientific and technical understanding of API manufacturing and validations across the entire portfolio of products manufactured in the Tuas API site.

The role will entail developing a sustainable business strategy that can predict and respond to changes in science and technology thus ensuring that the team’s expertise and technical capability sustain, not only, the sites current needs but also its future needs.

The role will initially report to the site leader and focus on the Technical Services (TS) department for the new facility, a separate Technical Services team focusing on the existing facility will be led by the TS director. Post divestiture of the existing facility in 2026 this role will report to the TS director.
