This role is a combination of local & regional trading functions. Local trading role is to lead local trading function covering all IPG Mediabrands agencies (UM, Initiative, Reprise) and to effectively represent Magna in the local market (Singapore). Additional regional trading function involves managing regional client investment solutions & deals for APAC.

Under the local trading head role, this person will mainly lead trading Investment & Innovation streams in Singapore. Additionally, this person will also support global Intelligence team through local data input/validation on Magna reports. Regional client investment function will include managing client investment/deals for regional clients, working closely with regional business & trading teams.

This person will directly report into global trading operations head, based in Singapore & dotted line reporting into APAC Magna/trading head, based in Malaysia.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Managing Buying Pitches (local)**
- Lead all buying pitches or buying part of full pitches for all local pitches along with the local pitch team & local part of regional/global pitches along with the regional Magna team
- Create winning buying proposals/submissions through smart data analysis, market intelligence, robust benchmarking, rigorous optimizations & speculative negotiations
- Liaising with clients/auditors directly for local pitches & with regional Magna team for regional/global pitches

**Client buying performance accountability (local)**
- Responsible for managing client buying performance accountability function across key clients in Singapore which is to ensure we meet all our pricing/buying commitments to clients. This process involves contribution in setting up buying performance targets, helping core client teams to achieve the buying performance targets, tracking & reporting to the local clients directly & to regional Magna team in case of regional accountability clients (as applicable).
- Maximize on the incentives potential associated with achieving & exceeding the buying performance targets (Incentives against Savings, Pricing, Value management or any other buying performance metric) & AVOID PENALTIES associated with not achieving the buying performance targets (if applicable)
- Provide effective support in case of auditor’s involvement in the process - Liaise with auditors directly in case of local clients & with regional Magna team for regional/global clients

**Holistic investment management, deals & revenue (local)**
- Robust investment planning covering all investments across agencies & clients in Mediabrands Singapore to maximize value for local clients and Mediabrands, through holistic partnership deals with media partners
- Maximize overall trading revenue by maximizing on all our trading products & practices
- Actively support & influence other trading entities such as Orion (capital & barter trading) to help grow Orion & overall trading revenue for MB Singapore
- Liaise directly & regularly with local CFO in growing trading income, provide data due diligence before revenue reporting & ensure compliance through guidance from CFO & global trading operations team
- Effectively manage senior level media owner relationship for the agency. Be the power centre

**Data management (local)**
- Creation and management of pricing benchmarks in the market (through internal & external data)
- Support Magna Global Intelligence data collection & validation process and create local intelligence to achieve thought leadership in media buying/trading in the market
- ** Regional client investment management (APAC)**
- Understanding trading deals requirements of regional clients and creating client specific trading partnerships - maximizing value for clients
- Extracting client values from agency level deals, communicating to regional business teams & clients and ensure maximum usage for clients
- Creating investment case studies for clients and presenting/showcasing internally and to clients
- Contributing to pricing commitment delivery of regional clients

**Who you are**:
**Qualifications & Work Experience**:

- Management / Mass communication degree preferred
- Maturity of thought and seasoned in planning, planning led buying function, optimizations & negotiations preferably in an international media agency. Prior experience in trading role is a preferred.
- Fluent in English (both written & spoken)

**Technical Knowledge**:

- Experience in media planning led buying strategies across offline & online media
- Good data management & analytical skills
