Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **GTRF Sales Manager (Global Banking)**.
**Principal Responsibilities**
The SVP, Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives.
The tasks for this role will include most of the following:
- Leading origination efforts of Global Trade and Receivables Finance solutions for a dedicated regional portfolio of primarily technology, media, and telecomms clients across all markets in the Asia Pacific region - establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
- Aggressively grow regional revenues for the dedicated regional portfolio of clients and provide guidance to in-country business development teams
- Lead the trade finance relationships with key regional decision-makers and stakeholders
- Communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers
- Proactively identifying sales opportunities across the region and develop these opportunities
- Supporting distribution channel business development strategies
- Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship mangers and product specialists, to aggressively advance opportunities and maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
- Leading and participating in events, initiatives, and activities to develop regional business opportunities
- Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews
Requirements
**Requirements**:
- Degree holder
- Good regional client network and track record of trade finance sales in reputable commercial banks
- Significant solution providing or structuring experience with strong grasp of trade knowledge in the market
- Recognized as a GTRF specialist with ability to display in depth knowledge and understand the risk profile of relevant products and services, and act as the representative on opportunities with key clients and deals
- Awareness of the applicable regulatory and business environment including audit, tax and legal implications, and how they affect customers
