- Experience in strategic marketing management & market analysis - demonstrated ability to build & execute a marketing strategy with clear goals & objectives to align to sales objectives and support the growth targets.
Job summary
You will be primarily responsible for and measured on:
Head of Marketing role for ASEAN will be responsible for delivering the customer/market insights, and customer acquisition and retention programs necessary to power Amazon Web Services continued growth in ASEAN.
The role’s core responsibility will be to use a combination of strong planning and execution skills to successfully plan, develop, execute and measure demand generation programs to deliver marketing contribution to the sales pipeline and foster and grow the marketing team for the region
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an incredibly fast-growing business. You should be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. A solid understanding of the cloud landscape is an advantage in this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Leading the marketing & communications program for the ASEAN sub-region
- Developing and delivering an integrated Marketing & Communications plan to support ASEAN sales revenue and business objectives
- Managing the sales and marketing interlock to ensure that balance of business and marketing objectives are met
- Delivering a strong marketing and sales qualified pipeline, utilizing analytics and mar-tech tools to optimize leads
- Working with APAC marketing communications team (brand, content, portfolio marketing etc.) to support global and local campaigns
- Plan and execute on the right MarCom mix: C-level relationship programs, digital, social, account/pursuit marketing, customer communication, events, sponsorships. roundtables, media partnerships and etc
- Day to Day management of the marketing team
- Develop and execute customer-driven, locally oriented marketing strategies and programs that will increase customer demand, sales, and positively impact Amazon Web Services brand equity
Key Result Areas:
- Create high impact marketing programs customized to the needs of specific markets and countries in the ASEAN region.
- Pipeline - Increase revenue from existing and new customers.
- Present senior management with compelling, results-driven business plans, complete with market assessments, product & service launch
- Verbal and written communication with sales, technical, business and executive audiences.
- Has a strategic and Analytical approach to marketing. Looking at the market place and dynamics first to assess opportunity and make the appropriate strategic investments while maintaining the short-term delivery of leads
- Metrics/ROI focused and knows how to generate leads & track to closed loop.
- Understands sales & marketing integration.
- Clear understanding of how to position a product within a competitive market.
- Clear understanding of the marketing mix and how to build and deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
- Has implemented marketing strategies and produced the associated marketing programs & materials with proven results.
- Understanding of the channel market, Systems Integrators & OEMs across the region. Will have worked with many of the key players & built & executed effective marketing programs to support partner enablement and drive channel revenue.
- Capable of working closely with customers, both channel partners and end users to represent the company and products.
- Solid soft skills: coaching, teamwork, negotiation, interpersonal communication skills, etc.
- Have first class presentation, communication, planning, and leadership skills.
- Be a natural team player and have a desire to work with others for broader success.
- Be able to operate successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous and undefined environment.
