**Principal Responsibilities
Role Purpose and key responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to provide proactive and comprehensive business management support to the Global Head of IWS, wider IWS Executive Committee and the IWS COO. This is a vital role that requires the successful applicant to work closely with senior leaders across the business to ensure the efficient and effective operation of IWS strategy, governance and leadership.

This is a strategic role, and the role holder will attend the weekly Exco discussions, the monthly Exco forum, and the quarterly deep dive. The role holder will also be at the heart of decision making and will work closely with the GPB&W CEO office, ensuring coverage for all related matters to IWS.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Global Head of IWS and IWS Chief Operating Officer (COO) through:

- Handling the day-to-day management of the Global Head of IWS office, including comprehensive management of the business management needs for the Global Head of IWS, ensuring effective use of time through proactive engagement on meeting topics and thorough preparation
- Taking responsibility for designing and executing the IWS Executive Committee working rhythm including: ensuring agendas and objectives are fit for purpose and addressing relevant topics and issues; working with key stakeholders to design approach and agree content; tracking actions to ensure delivery
- Assisting the Global Head of IWS with external and internal communication initiatives, including the delivery of key business updates to senior HSBC leadership
- Liaising with the GPB&W CEO office on CEO updates, HSBC Board updates and HSBC GEC (Global Executive Committee) updates
- Leading the development of the agenda and managing the content for IWS Executive Committee off sites, and forums (weekly / monthly / quarterly)
- Supporting the Global Head of IWS and IWS COO in the execution of key strategic initiatives and translation of IWS strategy into specific business objectives (including scorecards)
- Providing oversight of strategic initiatives in execution, including development of strategic options and prioritisation of key business programmes and initiatives
- Leading business planning activities including finance and resource planning
- Liaising with key stakeholders across WPB, including the Global Private Banking CEO Office and Strategy team, to proactively manage requests and ensuring timely and effective delivery
- Ensuring all Global Head of IWS deliverables are delivered to time and quality required

**Requirements**:

- Solid knowledge of banking, as well as Wealth and / or PB product and platform knowledge
- Proven experience in performance and business management, strategy, and project implementation
- Exceptional organization skills
- Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities on a daily basis
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with a proven ability to work with effectively manage senior stakeholder relationships
- High-energy, detail-orientated and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities
- Experienced use of Microsoft office tools including word and excel as well as MS Teams.
- Integrity - The role holder will be privy to key strategic information, and will have to ensure transparency and confidentiality are respected
- Take personal responsibility for understanding and agreeing performance expectations, completing the necessary mandatory training and developing the levels of capability and competence needed to be effective in the role

- Main location: Asia but given global remit, the role holder will liaise with stakeholders globally
