The Securities Services Client Delivery Technology PM manager is a senior experienced member of the Client Delivery unit and as such is responsible for both the successful delivery of his or her own Citi institutional client projects and also assisting in the ongoing progress of the other client projects the APAC Technology PM team is more broadly managing. In owning the Technology aspects of an Institutional client's onboarding, the senior member will provide regular governance Deck presentations to both regional and global SST heads. This requires comfort is communicating status, highlighting risk and issues that are being tackled and where necessary escalated.
SST Client programs cover the APAC region and require interaction with a number of stakeholders including Citi's external client, Sales, Product, Operations as well as Securities Services Technology groups. The global Client Delivery team is located in several APAC countries as well as in EMEA and NAM and hence the Senior Technology PM will use their network and skillset to communicate with members across countries and geographies when required. Interaction will cut across Securities Services and focus on diverse work such as working with Sales and support on new deals, working with Product and Operations on new client driven system and report enhancements and working with various Technology stakeholders to determine the budgetary costing of such developments.
Being part of a broader global function, the APAC Client Delivery Technology PM manager with interacts with colleagues in EMEA and NAM and as part of the role, the Tech PM manager will work their counterparts to continue to align APAC processes to the global standardized model.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for all technology components of the development and implementation of major/multiple/highly complex projects; may manage enterprise wide projects.
- Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
- Provides IT strategic direction for projects managed.
- Impacts the IT project leadership function by strategic influence and by exercising control over resources, budget management and planning; accountable for end results.
- Applies in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
- Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of how IT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.
- Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
- Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.
**Qualifications**:
- 15+ years’ experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Securities Services Fund Administration, Middle Office, Transfer Agency product lines would be preferable.
- Proven experience leading small to large scale Technology implementations working with teams in both Asia Pacific as well as other geographical timezones.
- Experience building a team culture, managing and coaching both aspiring professional technologists as well as mid-career hires.
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
