Roles & Responsibilities

The role will involve monitoring, analysing, reviewing and enhancing existing Government financing schemes to ensure their effectiveness in meeting the financing demand of Singapore enterprises, in order to support their growth both domestically and overseas.

You will be involved in the research and analysis that focuses on the monitoring and assessment of Singapore enterprises' state of access to financing, through extensive engagement with a wide range of public and private stakeholders. An understanding of Singapore's current financing landscape, knowledge of the success factors of key global financial hubs which Singapore can adopt/adapt is required.

You will also be required to review and devise the division's overall strategies to enhance the financing ecosystem in Singapore, including through research and benchmarking of Singapore's financing landscape against other jurisdictions, and identifying emerging trends, business models and tools in the market.
- Trained in Business, Economics or Finance, you should ideally have at least 5 years of relevant work experiences with the financial industry, such as banking and insurance, especially in areas such as SME financing, Trade Financing, Project Financing and Credit / Risk Assessment.
- You should have a strong analytical mind with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants will also be evaluated on their experience and interest to contribute to the public sector in an enterprise development role.
- A strong ability to communicate and engage with both external and internal stakeholders is critical. You must be comfortable with writing up memos, policy papers and developing cohesive presentation slides.
