**About the role**:
We are seeking a highly motivated **Director, Sales & Marketing **to actively drive commercial growth and awareness of One BioMed across global markets. In addition to ownership of the distribution sales targets, this individual is responsible for the overall marketing strategy of new and on-market products and ongoing training of the distributors, sales forecasting (instrumentation, consumable, services), and ongoing evaluation of our sales channel efficiency. The director will also have management responsibility for field-based sales professional(s) working to deliver regional goals, aligned with field sales strategy. This role will produce sales reports and updates regarding performance and progress.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
- Planning of commercial activity to implement the strategic sales & marketing plan for One BioMed.
- Manage sales & marketing team to deliver the agreed revenue targets for the respective regions.
- Oversee Instrument and consumable sales forecasting.
- Develop sales funnel across APAC and EMEA markets.
- Identify potential partnership opportunities to deliver solutions and adoption of One BioMed technology.
- Build relationships with the KOLs who will become future advocates of our technology, including through site visits and giving presentations to key research groups.
- Deliver internal updates and trainings to existing distributors; presenting market analysis, forecast expectations, product pipeline etc.
- Establish and onboard new distributor teams on sales & marketing processes, product portfolio etc.
- Advocate for customer requirements, giving input into product development and R&D teams.
- Any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum Masters degree in a biomedical or other life science.
- 8+ years of experience in molecular technologies or genomics related field.
- Experienced commercial team leader in fast-paced industry environment.
- Proven track record in commercial negotiation and relationship management.
- Proven track record as a commercial professional working in a sales, marketing or business development
- Existing relationship with KOLs in molecular technologies/ genomics within the region.
- Capability to translate market trends and publications to support One BioMed product positioning.
- Deliver on partnership and closed opportunities with customers.
- Knowledge of the APAC and EMEA molecular market from academic research to molecular diagnostics.
- Ideally possesses a working knowledge of the molecular biology/genomics marketplace, including Automated Nucleic Acid Extraction, Next Generation Sequencing/Long-Read Sequencing, qPCR etc.
- Ability to travel up to 70% as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
