The Future of Work represents the innovative branch of HR and is responsible for developing new solutions and approaches in preparation for an ever-changing global environment.

The HR Expert will act as project manager and is responsible for addressing new ways of working which may include workforce planning, talent development and recruiting or workplace design. The project manager will use market intelligence and knowledge of Evonik’s business needs to assess feasibility, test concepts, develop business case and draft proposed implementation strategy in collaboration with and for ultimate hand-off to HR.

**Responsibilities**:

- Represent the innovative branch of HR, developing new solutions and approaches, in preparation for an ever-changing global environment
- Project management from concept to implementation - Develop concepts, define, monitor and attain project-specific KPIs and milestones from initiation to implementation /piloting
- Experiment, develop and implement testing methods for new ways of working, within the unit in order to test and to act as a role model, while establishing the Future of Work unit itself
- Gain market intelligence by researching what other companies do as well as observing trends in how the workforce needs are shifting
- Understand Evonik’s business needs, listen to the voice of the customer and translate into new products/ solutions in close collaboration with HR squads & functions
- Assess feasibility and value proposition, test concepts, develop and present business case and draft proposed implementation strategy in collaboration with HR
- Attend conferences, partner with universities and institutes and canvas Evonik workforce for ideas how to create new ways of working
- Document and communicate learnings, both failures and successes to propel fundamental mindset shift required to be competitive in the future
- Collaborate cross-functionally across regions & departments to learn and bring together best practices
- Build strong relationships by engaging with diverse network including HR, internal customers and external contacts to include associated groups and universities to ensure systematic know-how-transfer into the organization
- Act as role model for mindset and behavior changes required for Evonik to thrive in a digital revolution

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
- Five to seven years of professional experience, diverse experience preferred
- Strategic mindset with a general understanding of the digital transformation challenges and understanding of opportunities in the corporate context
- Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for metrics, data and reporting
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with strong ability to influence/convince stakeholders and strong sense for strategic storytelling
- Strong creative problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Self-starting, proactive individual capable of self-organizing and using methods in accordance with the agile manifesto
- Project management experience preferred, global project management a plus
- Experience working in global environment, demonstrating global mindset is a plus
- Fluent English skills, additional languages would be a plus
- Up to 25%, domestic and international business travel
