**Job Description**:
Working with the International Media Operations leadership team and other major stakeholders, this role is mainly responsible for broadcast operations providing strategic guidance to deliver solutions to meet customers’ needs as well as translating business strategies into high performing deliverables for the APAC hub. This includes leading customer engagement, managing 24x7 playout and content distribution services, providing business system support and media management leadership in addition to being the in-region escalation and engagement point for various Operations & Technology teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the Lead of the content and channel distribution systems operations for the APAC region
- Develop strong business partnerships and engagement with our APAC customers and leadership teams for new projects, operational reporting and business development at the tactical and strategic level
- In conjunction with the IMO leadership team, develop short-term and long-term strategies for technical operations to standardise and improve practices, increase reliability, and identify efficiency & cost saving opportunities
- Collaborate with Director of EMEA Operations to take advantage of time-zone benefits in providing 24/7 incident management and escalation
- Oversight and co-ordination between other Operations and Technology departments including Facilities, Security, IT, Health and Safety
- Create and lead an environment of continuous learning and sharing of best practices
- Establish, maintain and grow excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders and service providers, both internal and external
- Working closely in conjunction with the Head of Media Engineering, to provide on the ground support to the APAC post-production environments in Singapore and Sydney
- Act as the Singapore Business Continuity lead for the NBCU office
- Project management and delivery support for local projects
- Provide support as required to other Operations & Technology functions across APAC
- Lead, educate and develop staff as necessary

**Qualifications**:
**Requirements**:

- Proven track record in a senior operational role at either a major broadcaster or broadcast service provider
- Ability to design, review and successful implement broadcast workflows and technologies
- Experienced in negotiating with key suppliers to drive financial effectiveness
- Excellent track record in managing customers’ needs
- Strong experience of file based workflows and associated IT systems, including Channel Management, Content Order Management, On-Air Graphics, Automation Systems and MAMs etc.
- Must have high degree of computer literacy and advanced knowledge of MS Applications with the capability to produce compelling presentation materials

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Relevant experience of financial planning, budget management and cost out activities
- Adept at building and maintaining a strong network of contacts throughout the industry
- Understanding of distribution technologies and suppliers deployed in the media industry
- Demonstrable capability to deliver continuous service improvement driving high reliability services
- Experience of managing multi-functional teams in an International environment and within a matrix structure
