Position Summary
Reporting to the Commercial Capabilities and Business Development Director (APAC), the Commercial Capabilities and Customer Marketing Manager (APAC) will play a critical role in:
- Boosting commercial data generation and stepping up our channels and customers knowledge across APAC to derive strategies, for local Trade Marketing and Commercial teams, new launches and on-going improvement of our brands presence and commercial performance with key customers / partners.
- Driving execution of our Strategic Priority across APAC focusing on materials as well as on the perfect serving of our brands (focusing on The Macallan).
- Tracking of our brands commercial excellence through commercial dashboards
- Tracking pricing and net-net positions across APAC and in recommended adjustments for consistency and CBD risks avoidance.
- Supporting Regional Management on pricing strategy and revenue per channel optimisation
Job Description
- Plan and drive local Trade Marketing and Commercial teams for perfect tiering of local distribution
- Optimised allocation planning across all channels
- “Perfected Visibility and Serving” / Merchandising guidelines for permanent and temporary, and properly adjusted as per distribution quality tiering
- Commercial dashboard generation and on-going optimisation
- Management of / interface with Salesforce
- APAC pricing landscape maintenance, Gross-to-Net, commercial terms improvement and revenue optimisation.
- Retail and eCommerce operational excellence
- Outline brand-building, revenue acceleration opportunities, support Joint-Business Plans and commercial negotiations with customers and partners
- Track key competitors’ activity and share markets best practice
- Help local teams assess targeted venue and partner with Marketing for selected key venues
- In charge of Campaigns and New Product launches by providing tools for Promoter Training and Customer engagement
- Provide customised programming and shopper marketing activation in line with channel
- Partner with local Trade Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure smooth rollout
- Aim to drive traffic and increase basket size by optimising current assets
- Create merchandising and facing guidelines for off-premise
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong personality with a highly developed interpersonal skillset. You will also have the following core capabilities:
- Min. 10 years of experience in Consumer Goods / FMCG, track record of success in Trade Marketing / brand activation, joint customer business planning.
- Strong commercial acumen: prior commercial, channel management, Trade Marketing experience (incl. Merchandising),ideally at regional / cross-country level.
- High affinity with Luxury categories and understanding of Luxury Retail.
- Collaboration skills and strong capacity to engage stakeholders (internal and external) along same vision
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical mindset.
