The Viswa Group is looking for a highly skilled Regional Marine Technical Sales Manager to join our business in Singapore. We're looking for a skilled hunter who can unlock opportunities, create value to customers, develop strong relationships, manage the sales process to grow our business.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
**As a Marine Technical Sales Manager, you will**:
- Selling Viswa Group’s technical Solutions & services to ship owners and managers within Singapore and other APAC regions, as needed.
- Create and craft customer specific value propositions and sell values of using Viswa group’s technical services and solutions.
- Develop & sell customer-centric technical solutions by meeting with existing and potential clients.
- Follow-up after sales to ensure Customer Satisfaction, Manage Relationship, including Collections when requested by Accounts Receivable.
- Respond to customer’s requirements and act immediately by reaching out to relevant people within the organization and be a responsive single point contact to all customers’ needs.
- Develop, record, and track sales progress monthly.
- Presenting strategies for expansion and study the competitors.
- Manage customer relations and be a customer’s voice within the organization.
- Investigate complementary industries to see where needs are based on objective data.
- Review, analyse and anticipate what bill and legislature are becoming top industry priorities and determine where the gaps are that Viswa can pursue.
- Investigate and bid open Request for Quotes/ Proposals (RFP’s) and author Viswa’s responses within the requested timelines.
- Respond to RFP's with rigour and a commitment to managing the end-to-end process for a win.
- Survey industry customers to find out if they are in trouble and need insightful rescue. Create Value, build solutions and present use cases.
- Determine “best value” for customers based on tangible and intangible requirements.
- To facilitate the handover of new customers to account sales managers
- Additional responsibilities and activities may be added, and work scope modified depending on organizational needs and this shall be based on mutual agreement.
- Communication to a high standard - both verbally and in writing and display excellent presentation skills.
**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:
- Three to Five years’ experience in the maritime industry is required.
- Good written and oral communication skills are also non-negotiable for sales professionals since much of their responsibilities involve engaging the market and industry players, not to mention formulate business strategic plans.
- Negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of using a client relationship management system
- Good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail - thinks ahead and pre-empts possible setbacks and obstacles.
- Develops strong working relationships with people at all levels within an organisation - has high levels of impact and influence.
- Ability to work as a team and autonomously.
- The ability to adapt to meet a frequently changing workplace.
- Excellent project management & Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- Able to speak Chinese is a must.
- Salary depends on number of years of experience and technical knowledge in the Marine and Oil & Gas industry.
