**Senior Key Account Manager**
The Senior Key Account Manager oversees and manages sales and relationships with the most critical and strategic retail clients. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets by optimising retail client potential. You will also lead and mentor key account executives and collaborate with other departments to deliver solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the clients and the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major retail clients to drive business growth.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements and expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and ensure mutual satisfaction and loyalty.
- Coordinate and lead teams to execute and deliver projects on time, on budget, and quality.
- Monitor and report on the performance and progress of the accounts and projects.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities and leads to expand the client base and increase revenue.
- Stay current on the company's products and services, the industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
- Research and identify prospective clients and generate leads.
- Measure, track, and analyze key account metrics.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with key client stakeholders to increase business opportunities for the company.
- Create specific strategies to achieve retail sales targets, initiatives, and standards.
- Analyze the overall business results weekly and monthly to effectively prioritize the appropriate area of focus to maximize results for the brand and the team.
- Motivate, mentor, and coach high-performing individual contributors and team players amongst your direct reports.
- Work with the Brand, Creative, Education, and Marketing leaders to align all field execution efforts with retailer and brand launches and promotional in-store activations.
- Liaise with the trainer and retail operations team to support beauty advisers in developing their skills and ensuring brand standards, sales objectives, and execution methods are being delivered and achieved.
- Additional duties as assigned by your manager.
**Requirements**:
- Min. Diploma / Degree in Business, marketing, or related field.
- At least 6-8 years of working experience in the sales field in the FMCG industry, with working knowledge of drugstores, beauty specialties, and department store environments.
- Solid sales experience with a track record of developing customers and people.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial fundamentals and having a strong customer-centric approach.
- Able to travel.
- Strong analytical capability and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills. Perseverant.
- Entrepreneurial thinking. Good with numbers, retail-oriented, and P&L knowledge.
- Outgoing personality with good networking and influencing skills.
