[What the role is]
As a Senior Executive/Executive (Sanitation Section) with the Central Regional Office, you are responsible for ensuring good cleanliness and sanitation standards at various premises, public places and outdoor events within the assigned sector. You are also responsible for enabling a smoke-free environment at smoking prohibited areas in premises and public places. You will conduct routine inspections, undertake necessary response actions, investigate and resolve public feedback, and carry out enforcement against offences that contravene the Environmental Public Health Act (EPHA), Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) Act (SPCPA) and their subsidiary legislations. You will engage extensively with stakeholders in order to create awareness and facilitate compliance to the regulations.

[What you will be working on]

As a Senior Executive/Executive, you will implement, engage, and enforce key environmental public health programmes to ensure high standards of public health in Singapore. You will be responsible for the following:

- Manage and resolve public health concerns (e.g. cleanliness, littering and smoking in prohibited areas, etc)
- Attend, investigate and resolve feedback from members of public and stakeholders related to public health
- Work with the relevant NEA divisions/departments, government agencies and stakeholders to investigate and resolve public health issues
- Plan and manage all matters relating to public health
- Educate the public on good environmental practices
- Conduct enforcement on public health offences
- Write and submit reports on public health issues to management

- 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Analytical, organised and able to multi-task
- Able to work on weekends and after office hours
- Able to conduct routine inspections and perform enforcement duties indoors and outdoors
- Keen to take initiatives and carry out plans
