JDE APAC operates across the region in 7 key markets consisting of Australia, Greater China, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and an international export market. Manufacturing and packing operations are managed from six manufacturing locations namely in Malaysia (Johor Bahru, Ipoh), Thailand, China, Australia, and New Zealand.
Situated in Singapore, the Singapore ADM cluster business serves as a strategic base for expanding JDE’s global presence in the Asian region. Singapore also serves as a operating hub for the APAC leadership team and the regional corporate functions such as Finance, Internal Controls, Marketing, HR and Corporate Affairs.
**Job Description**:
The primary responsibility of the Brand Manager is to help build and enhance brand awareness for our premium and OEM brands. The Brand Manager will be tasked with uncovering consumer insights to deliver innovative marketing campaigns and will collaborate closely with various functions and levels within our organization to identify our unique selling points and effectively communicate them.
This position involves leading, developing, and implementing annual marketing plans for assigned brands, including New Product Developments (NPDs), advertising/media strategies, and national consumer promotions. We are looking for a strategic individual who can multitask, possesses strong communication skills, and is ready to dive in hands-on.
The Brand Manager will establish robust and collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Sales, Research & Development, Manufacturing Units, and Legal. Additionally, he/she will engage with the Leadership team and peers. This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing, SAE (Singapore, Asia Developing Markets, and Exports), based in Singapore. The job scope for this role encompasses the overall marketing aspects of our Cluster.
**Responsibilities**
- Monitor market trends, consumer behaviors and competitive activities
- Leverages relevant consumer/customer trends and insights to build a plan and deliver against business objectives
- Leads the development and implementation of annual brand with clear outlines of goals, objectives, tactics, metrics of the brand. The brand strategy should align with the overall organization’s vision, mission, values and support overall business strategy and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate performance and effectiveness of the brand strategy and plan and make adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and report marketing campaign performance with clear assessment on KPIs and ROIs
- Translates brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies, ensuring consistency across the different deployment touchpoints
- Manages local product adaptation, in compliance with global guidelines
- Manages external communication activities (including social media) and maintains relationship with local media all in line with the global communication and media strategy guidelines
- Support customer’s requirements for OEM brands from a product management perspective in terms of packaging artwork, recipe, final goods and be the liaison between customer and manufacturing units
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- Proven working experience as a Brand Manager, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies with ability to execute the plans into actions
- Strong analytical skills partnered with strategic reasoning skills partnered with a creative mind
- Strong leadership, collaborative & communication skills
- Solid business acumen with experience of brand P&L responsibilities
