DESIGNATION : Assistant Director, Alumni Giving, Office of Advancement
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Major Alumni Gifts
- Actively identify segments of alumni and alumni referrals for gift cultivation. Manage conversations for gift opportunities, and develop strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni donors to encourage future giving.
- Analyze giving trends for target segments. Work strategically on personal solicitation through active identification, discovery, and acquisition of new alumni donors. Support gift renewals and upgrades for the donor segment.
- Involve in the strategic development of cultivation and solicitation plans and gift proposals for specific projects, including written proposals, presentations, volunteer management, and stewardship of gifts received through recognition activities and events.
- Attend committee meetings and work with alumni volunteers to make meaningful connections with prospective donors for the institution.
- Digital Fundraising
- Lead digital fundraising campaigns and collaboration with other units to promote the case for support. Must have the ability to initiate the campaign and carry it to completion and be able to handle many details in a well-organized and focused manner.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring the success of fundraising projects.
- Plan and develop communications materials in support of the advancement objectives, working alongside alumni relations initiatives to forge synergies in engaging with alumni for annual giving.
- Support social media marketing and communication plan for alumni giving and provide content management in line with overall University giving messages.
- Participate in the measurement and assessment of activity and performance for digital fundraising campaigns.
- Ensures that all campaigns are kept on a deadline-driven timetable and that donor recognition and acknowledgment programs are in place to maintain, grow and evolve good relations with donors.
- Provide administrative and operational support for advancing gift purposes and undertake other duties and responsibilities, where needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree with at least 8 years of working experience.
- Motivated to contribute towards community-building and philanthropy.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with different stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexible self-starter, mature and able to work independently, at the same time, an effective team-player.
- Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for diverse number of projects, prioritizing and completing them in a timely manner with limited supervision.
- Experience in relationship building roles and able to communicate and work with internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Good CRM knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms and proven experience and success with social media marketing and fundraising or digital expertise in marketing is advantageous.
