**Responsibilities**:
- Supervise the various sections of the Finance department, check the work for accuracy, quality and timeliness of the work and provide guidance when required.
- Prepare the GST Quarterly Returns and payment submissions.
- Prepare yearly government statistical reports.
- Maintain all records of fixed assets movements within the Hotel. Ensure a proper fixed asset register is kept that reconciled with the general ledger.
- Supervise Hotel’s Operating Assets and ensure it tallies with physical year end count and reconciliation.
- Ensure that the inventory count is properly conducted and completed, provide assistance during the stock-take process in other departments as well as in the general stores.
- Ensure money inflow/outflow are accounted for in the form of accurate and timely submission of bank reconciliation reports.
- Maintain the entire general ledger accounts in balance sheet. Ensure all accounting entries are in order before passing the journal entries.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for circulation to the management and audit purposes.
- Compute monthly cost consumption and analysis reports.
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties i.e. external auditors, tax agents when required.
- Assist with financial and tax audits, and audit preparation.
- Assist the Financial Controller in providing a high level of accounting services to internal customers, by ensuring that the work of staff members are performed as efficiently and effectively as possible within the given time frame.
- Assume the responsibilities of the Financial Controller in his/her absence and complete ah-hoc duties that may be assigned.
- Responsible for staff development by providing training to staff members within the finance team, so that they can perform in accordance to established standards and procedures.
- Perform any other job tasks as assigned.
**Job Requirements**
- At least 2 years of work experience in the hospitality industry in a similar capacity.
- Meticulous and attentive to details.
