My client is a Hospital located at the Central Area.

**Senior Engineer (Campus Planning)**

This role is heavily focused on the Campus Redevelopment initiative, for which planning is currently underway. You will support the Office of Campus Planning by collaborating closely with the design team, medical planners, and end users. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical specifications for tenders, evaluating submissions, and providing recommendations based on technical compliance for medical equipment, furniture, and fittings for the new campus.

You may also be seconded to the Group or Site team to gain familiarity with Group Biomedical Engineering (BME) policies and procedures. This includes supporting daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and support the planning and procurement of medical and non-medical equipment, as well as furniture when necessary.
- Organize and facilitate user workgroups by scheduling regular meetings, setting objectives and timelines, driving meaningful discussions, guiding user departments, and reviewing performance indicators and work plans.
- Oversee budget planning and control to ensure the redevelopment project remains within financial limits.
- Collaborate with user departments and stakeholders in preparing tender specifications for equipment and furniture.
- Evaluate tender submissions and provide recommendations based on technical compliance.
- Assist tender committees in assessing equipment and service proposals for procurement.
- Stay updated on developments in healthcare planning to help guide the project in line with strategic goals.
- Provide support to the broader campus planning team as needed.
- Assist in biomedical engineering functions within the Group.
- Undergo attachment with the Group/Site team to understand and adopt BME policies and procedures while supporting daily operations.
- Coordinate with external contractors to manage service issues and tender obligations.
- Advise end users and senior management on technical matters related to medical and non-medical equipment and furniture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Electronics or a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical equipment service and maintenance; OR
- Degree in Electronics or related engineering field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

- Problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and analytical with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with mínimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and IT networking is an added advantage.
- Resilient under pressure and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving situations and ambiguity.
