Singapore OTC ASIA COMMODITIES PTE. LTD. Full time

THE ROLE:
**_OTC Aalpha Energy _**are seeking an oil broker to work in our Singapore office with proven and demonstrable experience in a broking environment, ideally with a knowledge of the Brent & Dubai oil markets, and the regulated voice broking / futures environment and associated exchanges. The successful applicant will be personable, tenacious and a natural networker, having a proactive approach to securing new business and managing existing clients.

In addition, they will be well-organised, highly analytical and thrive in a fast-moving environment with a flat management structure. You should be able to work under your own initiative and be an excellent team player, able to adapt and fit in with close-knit teams. Experience of managing broking teams would be preferred, as there will be opportunity for the individual to hire brokers as their line-manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Promote the company, providing market information and analysis to clients.
- Arrange trades via voice broking on and behalf of clients for execution at relevant exchange.
- Reconcile and enter trades in Trade Manager and/or relevant exchange as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contact and tracking daily trading activities.
- Regular and consistent communication with equivalent **_OTC Aalpha Energy _**crude oil desks in London and Houston.
- Produce a daily/weekly update of market prices, market direction for international desks.
- On-board new clients following correct Compliance and Operations procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require.

RISK RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Understand regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape.
- Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with company policies.
- Exercise judgement and act with integrity, due care, skill and diligence and co-operate with the regulators and exchanges.
- Ensure full awareness of, and adhere to, internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities.
- Observe standards of market conduct and ensure understanding and adherence to all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to role.

TRAINING:

- Seek regular feedback from Desk Head to ensure role requirements are met.
- Complete any mandatory training required by the company and required deadlines.
- Maintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD).

KEY SKILLS:

- Experience in execution brokerage in related derivative products covering commercial clients (financial markets or the physical markets) and associated exchanges (ICE, CME, ADX).
- Entrepreneurial mindset / self-motivated.
- Strong client focus; personable and engaging building relationships and networks wherever possible
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Team orientated; works well with others and diverse groups / personalities.
- Excellent attention to detail; strong analytical and numeracy skills.
- Strong IT Systems experience, particularly Excel.
