We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Insights Lab Strategist.**
**Principal Responsibilities**
Insights Lab Strategist, Investments and Wealth Solutions, Hong Kong / Singapore, Global Private Banking & Wealth (GCB4)
Reporting to the Regional Head of Insights Lab, the role holder will play an important role in defining and delivering our strategy of being the no. 1 Wealth Management franchise in Asia Pacific.
Insights Lab provides leading effort from IWS in supporting rapid growth of client base covered by Single Advisor Model (SAM), as part of the Wealth Model Transformation. The team will
- Orchestrate IWS CIO and Product Solutions desks to define Lead Offering to such client base
- Define future state of client journey, including advisory proposition, investment content distribution, point of sales, order capture and execution, post-sales servicing and life cycle management
- Define future state of Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, to develop insights over client analytics.
- Support Relationship Managers on ongoing investment solutions training
- To support scalable and sustainable growth, Insights Lab is expected to drive adoption of digital banking across Single Advisor Relationship Managers and target client base
Key responsibilities of the role
- Support the IWS Lead Offering for SAM for booking centres Hong Kong and Singapore
- Execute investment content creation and distribution strategy, following IWS CIO house views and Product Solutions desks fulfilments
- Orchestrate IWS CIO and Product Solutions desks in packing content in digital friendly way for distribution
- Take leadership on defining technology leads and priorities for the full client journey for SAM
- Support SAM target client base in terms of enriching client journey, driving client engagement, and developing insights over client behaviour
- Leverage on portfolio insights and client insights to drive business development of Single Advisor Model target client base
- Develop infrastructure and governance on ongoing investment product solution training needs for Single Advisor Relationship Managers
- The role holder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation. They will adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures
- They will also be expected to consistently display the behaviours that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhere to HSBC risk policies and procedures
Requirements
**Requirements**:
- Be familiar with wealth management client journey, advisory / point-of-sales process, asset allocation methodologies, and investment solutions fulfilments
- Be passionate on leading investment dialogue with a broad internal and external audience
- Be exceptionally good writer of concise, actionable investment related content, effectively an “investment tweeter” to a target audience. (English written fluency is a must, Chinese is an advantage)
- Be a team player, to develop strong partnership with IWS CIO, Product Solution desks and Relationship Managers for business performance. Win as a team
- Be entrepreneurial, to take ownership of business development of Single Advisor Model for sustainable and scalable growth
- Be culturally aware of your local client base, what clicks and what doesn’t
- Be digitally literate, and amiably influential. Be positively engaging, filled with curiosity. Be able to tell a complex idea in simple words in an elevator pitch
- Be expected to have at least 5 years of experience in either investment strategist, client advisor, or product specialist roles with client exposures, in wealth management industry or in financial institution
- Have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. CFA would be an advantage
