[What the role is]

DEPUTY / ASSISTANT TECHNICAL MANAGER

[What you will be working on]

To align with the Digital Government Blueprint’s vision of “Digital to the Core, and Serves with Heart”, LTA is embarking on a digital transformation journey by harnessing new technologies to drive broader efforts to revamp the digital platform, develop and integrate enterprise-wide IT systems. We envision to leverage cloud services such as government commercial cloud infrastructure for enhanced business agility and build stakeholder-centric services that cater to businesses’ needs. You will lead in the planning, designing, integration, implementation and maintenance of IT systems.

You will be involved in:

- Undertaking project conceptualisation, solutioning and system architecting
- Collaborating with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to strategise procurement approach and seek project funding
- Managing project procurement which includes tender specifications preparation & evaluation, implementation and quality assurance
- Managing vendors and IT maintenance contracts and ensure that the vendors meet contractual obligations, leading to successful project delivery
- Managing IT system Operations and Maintenance works including audits, risk assessments
- Exploring and evaluating new and emerging technologies and solutions to push capabilities forward and future proof the systems

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or any relevant qualification with at least 8 years’ IT experience in project management of enterprise-wide projects
- Able to lead a team and bridge communication in a multi-disciplinary and multi-vendor environment
- Experience in software development lifecycle, IT project management and service management
- Able to initiate program and manage complex system integration
- Knowledge of container management platforms such as EKS, ROSA is an advantage
- Knowledge of DevSecOps Platforms and tools such as GitLab is an advantage
- Knowledge and implementation experience of the Government Instruction Manual for IT Management (IM8) and WOG baseline standards is an advantage
