**Job Title**:Junior Grower (CEA)

**Reports To**: Master Grower

The Junior Grower will support the Master Grower in maintaining optimal growing conditions and plant health in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) facility. Working as part of a team, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Transplanting seedlings from propagation area into growth systems
- Seeding certain direct-sowed crops based on planting schedules
- Monitoring plant growth and reporting any signs of pest, disease, nutrient deficiencies, etc. to the Master Grower
- Helping prepare nutrient solutions and adjusting EC/pH levels as directed
- Performing regular maintenance on hydroponic systems including checking pumps, lines, timers, etc.
- Collecting plant measurement data including height, width, leaf health, etc. and inputting into tracking software
- Assisting with harvest operations including cutting, trimming, weighing and packing produce
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the growing area
- Following all safety protocols and procedures
- Participating in on-the-job training to develop knowledge of horticultural principles, plant health, and CEA technologies

**Requirements**:

- No experience required
- Knowledge of basic plant biology and crop production
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to work on one's feet for extended periods
- Ability to use tablets, smartphones, and computers to input data
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
