Singapore OSM Thome Full time

**Functions & responsibilities**
- Assist the head of department in ensuring compliance across OSM Thome fleets/BU’s.
- Conduct shore-based trainings related to environmental compliance and carryout jobs as directed.
- Assist/Lead investigations on environmental incidents as directed by Head of the Dept
- Plan, Manage the team of Environment Compliance auditors for onboard environmental compliance audits, IA audits (as per MQA instruction) and trainings
- Carry out Internal Office Audits as assigned
- Manage-Delegate Daily Briefings of senior officers of OSMThome managed vessels
- Prepare & attend for various Environment compliance related webinars and officers’ seminars as advised by the HOD
- Conduct environmental audits and trainings as assigned and undertake necessary travels and/or visit vessels at Singapore anchorage.
- Review and Monitoring of Waste management, Seal Management
- Ensure timely closure of environmental audit reports
- Conduct oil record book reviews and feedback to vessel. Also carry training of ship/shore on ORB filling, as advised by HOD.
- Liaise with OSMThome various FG’s/BU’s on environmental concerns.

**Duties**
- To identify and manage compliance with environmental objectives.
- Conduct on board Environmental compliance audits.
- Coordinating with all Business units on matters of environmental compliance.
- Implement the Company’s environmental procedures and training program and embed compliance culture through measuring, mentoring and Monitoring.
- Provides regular coaching/training (on board and ashore).
- Responding to queries on environmental related issues and potential pollution incidents.
- Monitors, audit, review and evaluate environmental objectives and results based on internal and external audits and customer feedback.
- Manage and Carry out Senior officers Pre-Joining environmental briefings
- Participate and Plan for L&D arranged officers ECD training during their leave
- Conduct waste stream analysis on a Bin-Annual frequency.
- Familiarise thoroughly with NAU portal and other environmental report related portals
- Assist HOD/Lead into investigations of environmental nature, Violations/ Suspect Violations/Open reporting cases.
- Prepare/plan/delegate/Mentor and Monitor Environment Compliance Auditors, ensuring that environmental audits, Internal audits (If/As requested by MQA) and ECD trainings/ ORB how to fill trainings, are carried out on Company managed vessels
- Identify with BU’s/FG’s on priority vessels for best sampling in order to carry audits and embed compliance culture.
- Monitor, review and ensure timely closure of environmental audit reports.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Class 1 Certificate of Competency
- Chief Engineer
- At least 4 years of sailing experience as Management level (Engine) of which 2 years at least sailing experience as Chief Engineer
- At least 4 years of shore experience dealing with technical management and/or Environmental compliance functions
- Only Singaporeans eligible
