Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to ensure the safety and environmental compliance of our work environment. The ideal candidate will oversee safety protocols, monitor environmental regulations, and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and environmental practices.

About the Role:
The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety management systems, conducting safety audits and inspections, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and liaising with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educational Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in safety or environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001, OSHA) are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a safety officer or environmental control officer role, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or construction setting. Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and environmental assessments is essential.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices is necessary. Proficiency in risk assessment and implementation of safety management systems is also required.
  • Benefits: Certification in First Aid/CPR would be an advantage. Knowledge of waste management systems, emergency response planning, and environmental impact assessments is desirable.
