The role of Environmental Compliance Specialist is crucial in maintaining a sustainable environment.
This position entails overseeing environmental compliance, implementing environmental management systems, and driving sustainability initiatives across the organization.
- Evaluate and implement strategies to ensure regulatory compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permits.
- Develop and manage environmental management systems to mitigate risks and improve performance.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and activities to minimize adverse effects.
- Implement waste reduction, recycling, and disposal programs to reduce waste and promote sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for pollution prevention and resource conservation to optimize organizational efficiency.
- Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint and promote eco-friendly practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on environmental metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in environmental compliance and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Hold a recognized registration as an Environmental Compliance Officer.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in construction or a similar sector.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of environmental science, sustainability principles, water management, and construction best practices.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
