**Description**

This position within the Chief Operating Office - Business Risk Management, Risk & Control team partners with the stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the operational risk management framework and information security risk in the Chief Operating Office (“COO”), Investment Solutions Group (ISG) and Chief Investment Office(CIO) Business Units by reviewing, providing support, advisory and input on the required controls. In addition, the team is the liaison for internal and external reviews, supporting the Business Units in audit walkthroughs & responses and ensuring Units’ timely closure of outstanding items, while actively promoting general operational risk and information risk awareness among all staff.

This role reports to the Team Head, COO Business Risk Management - Risk & Control, which is part of the Chief Operating Office Business Risk Management (“COO BRM”) unit, with an objective to consolidate and lead the risk and controls framework for Chief Operating Office (“COO”), Investment Solutions Group (ISG) and Chief Investment Office(CIO).

**Main duties**
- Strengthen the operational risk and information security risk management governance and framework in first line of defence, by providing structured support to the Chief Operating Office (“COO”), Investment Solutions Group (ISG) and Chief Investment Office(CIO)stakeholders to manage their operational risks in a structured, systematic and consistent manner.
- Provide guidance and advice to COO, ISG and CIO stakeholders on operational & information risk matters including but not limited to operational risk events management, risk & control assessments, business continuity planning, data risk policies, third party risk management, physical security, as well as exceptional handling and risk acceptances.
- Conduct thorough investigations of operational losses (“events”) or risk topics as an independent party, collaborating with impacted stakeholders to determine sequence of events, identify control weaknesses, and develop preventive action plans.
- Analysis of operational risk and information risk data to identify areas of risk and assess the effectiveness of past mitigation efforts.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness among staff, as well as support and provide advisory on operational risk related matters to the Business Units.
- Lead, support, coordinate interactions and timely response with Group Audit, and other internal/ external reviewers.
- Lead and support risk & control projects, ensuring alignment with Group ORM and overall risk scope.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in a financial institution with minimum 5 years of management of operational risk and/or information security, technology risk in private banking.
- Good knowledge of banking products and operations preferred.
- Managerial / supervisory experience is a plus.
- High level of integrity, independent, adaptable and committed with high level of initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. VBA coding skills, Power BI or data visualization tools preferred
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions and able to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment with the capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, prevent and resolve issues.
