Advocacy and Programmes Manager

EuroCham Singapore, officially known as the European Chamber of Commerce (Singapore), champions the collective interests of the European business community, fostering trade, services, and investments between Europe, Singapore, and the broader region.

EuroCham is a non-profit, membership-based organisation with a unique network, comprising European and local corporations based in Singapore, representatives from European National Business Groups, strategic partners, and trade associations, has built strong ties with local governmental entities.

Since our inception in 2001, the European Union Delegation to Singapore has officially endorsed us, affirming our role as a trusted bridge to local government and esteemed stakeholder organizations.

We offer our members a platform for advocacy, networking, and knowledge exchange, emphasizing their priorities through 12 specialized committees and hallmark Programmes spanning areas such as Sustainability, Future Mobility, the Digital Economy, and Sustainable Travel and Tourism.

The primary responsibilities of the Advocacy & Programmes Manager will be
- Streamline and promote programme activities and publications.
- Curate a series of events showcasing European companies and EuroCham members as industry frontrunners.
- Collaborate with both internal and external partners for the release of Whitebook publications.
- To ensure membership growth
- To build strong relationship with key stakeholders to create public-private engagement opportunities

**General duties and responsibilities**
- Lead the overall coordination of topic driven programmes and the advocacy activities in alignment with the Executive Director
- Lead the conceptualisation and orchestrate a range of events within the framework of the programmes (such as the Sustainability Programme), including webinars, talks, and panel discussions.
- Collaborate with the Events and Communications Team to curate activities such as roundtables, seminars, and workshops to further member objectives.
- Engage thoughtfully with our corporate members to gather their valuable insights and contributions for our annual Whitebook, such as the Sustainability Whitebook.
- Collaborate closely with our knowledge partners, like consultancy firms and assist in the harmonious coordination of position papers.
- Provide mentorship and encouragement to interns crafting content for position papers.
- Possess the finesse to craft press releases, speeches and messages for the President and Executive Director.
- Collaborate graciously with the team in curating and assessing submissions for the yearly Sustainability Awards.
- Cultivate robust relationships and alliances with governments, multilateral entities, trade associations, and other pivotal stakeholders.
- Engage with corporate members to understand their challenges and leverage their expertise.
- Reach out to prospective members, introduce EuroCham's value, and the membership benefits
- Lead special projects as assigned
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Report and escalate to management as needed.

**Qualifications**
- University degree in business administration, public policy, economics or a related field
- Minimum of 2-5 year of relevant working experience preferred,
- Goal driven with the ability to persuade individuals with decision making authority
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with stakeholders and pro-active working attitude as well as the ability to quickly integrate into a small team and operate in a multi
- cultural environment
- Fluency in English and very good drafting skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office); IT skills for website and database management are an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team

The Advocacy & Programmes Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and is also required to provide overall support to the daily activities of the Chamber.
