You will play an integral role in meeting the training needs of participants using blended learning, classroom learning and virtual learning delivery modalities.

To enhance social impact through the delivery and development of emotional intelligence/psychology-based assessment, counselling, programmes and workshops to support the development of beneficiaries from at-risk and marginalised backgrounds with complex support needs.

The role includes but is not limited to:
**Training and Facilitation***:

- Delivering in-house and external Emotional Intelligence / Psychology based training, programmes or workshops to public, school and social programme students.
- Developing and implementing new programmes, frameworks and curriculum.
- Measuring the progress and impact created from delivered training, counselling or workshops on individuals.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions on emotional intelligence, employing a variety of instructional techniques and adult learning principles. Adapt training delivery methods to meet the needs of diverse audiences, such as classroom-based sessions, virtual training, workshops, or one-on-one coaching.
- Administer emotional intelligence assessments and conduct pre
- and post-training evaluations to measure individual and team progress. Analyze assessment data to identify areas of strength and areas requiring further development, and provide feedback and recommendations accordingly.
- Provide operational support in and after training classes.
- Conduct WSQ assessment in accordance with the Academy’s standards.
- Assessing and identifying the emotional support needs of programme beneficiaries and individuals (Good to have).

**Content Development***:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify specific emotional intelligence training needs and objectives. Develop comprehensive training programs and materials that align with organizational goals and address identified areas for improvement.
- Curriculum Development: Continuously review and update training materials, resources, and activities to ensure they remain relevant and effective. Integrate the latest research and best practices in emotional intelligence into the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes in alignment with Bettr's approach and curriculum.
- Conceptualize training materials based on data and research.
- Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials.

**Individual Coaching***:

- Provide one-on-one coaching to individuals seeking personalized support in developing their emotional intelligence skills. Offer guidance, feedback, and practical strategies for improving emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and interpersonal relationships.
- Assist in any social programmes (Holistic Training Programme or Bettr Work Training Programme) training / coaching.

You have the following:
**Qualifications & Training**:

- Professional qualification relating to education, counselling, social work or youth work.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, organizational behaviour, human resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an emotional intelligence trainer or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of emotional intelligence theories, concepts, and assessment tools.
- Knowledge of training strategies and principles, including adult learning theory, teaching and instruction for diverse individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Ability to maintain an effective learning environment to drive understanding (i.e. using visual aids, able to recognize when a group or individual is lost and needs more attention) with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
- Proficient in designing and delivering training programs using a variety of formats (e.g., classroom, virtual, workshops).
- ACTA-qualified adult educator (Desirable but not essential).
- (EQ) Emotional intelligence training/certification (Preferably by Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Network) (Desirable but not essential).
- Background in Youth work and Education (MOE) (Desirable but not essential).

**Work Experience***:

- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a clinical, social service, education, teaching, or training role.
- Achieving KPIs in a programme or service context.
- Supporting groups and individuals from a diverse range of support needs and demographics.
- Supporting clients with needs such as:

- Mental or physical illness
- Low income or educational attainment
- Unemployment
- Victims of abuse or neglect
- Offenders
- Substance abuse
- Special educational needs
- Facilitating programmes, workshops or training

**Skills & Knowledge***:

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead & motivate others.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
