**Overall Job Purpose**
Epsilon is a global telecommunications business providing network, colocation and voice services to carriers, channel partners and enterprise customers. Epsilon has three offices in Singapore, London and Sofia as well as sales offices in Hong Kong and New York. Epsilon is part of KT Corp, having been acquired in September 2021.
In Singapore, Epsilon operates one data centre and is leasing whitespace in two other locations within the APAC region. The primary data centre in Singapore is a 2mW facility and comprises 300 rack footprints.
The Singapore Data Centre Manager (DCM) is responsible for all operational elements of running the data centre directly or through Epsilon’s data centre partners and understands the economy of data centre operations. The DCM needs to ensure the profitable operations of the facilities and looks for opportunities to increase revenues and reduce costs. Responsibilities include oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, electrical distribution, HVAC systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS) systems.
The DCM works closely with the Global Infrastructure Manager and 3rd party Contractors to propose cost-effective improvements to the site(s).
In addition to the operations of the facilities, the DCM works closely with Epsilon Sales and Customer Service Teams in growing the business and delivering excellent service to customers. The DCM acts as a technical sales representative and works with sales to ensure proposals and subsequent installations meet customer requirements.
Epsilon operates network POP sites within other data centres across six APAC countries. The data centre manager is also responsible for the infrastructure and uptime of these racks within the POP sites.
The role also leads a team of data centre and field technicians in the region and all 3rd party maintenance contractors, and is expected to set KPIs, hold 1:1s, and performance reviews, act as a mentor, and ensure development opportunities with all team members.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the daily running and maintenance of the data centers and PoP facilities in region
- Responsible for ensuring all M&E and Environmental systems are maintained as per manufacturers guidelines
- Responsible for managing 3rd party contractors and signing off on MOPs and risks assessments prior to work commencing and final sign off on completed works.
- Responsible for Regional Data centre budget spend reporting and budgeting.
- Manage and develop team of regional datacentre and field technicians through weekly 1:1s, development conversations, and performance management.
- Oversee site expansions and M&E replacements/maintenance works.
- Act as escalation point for Customer Service Centre (CSC) for Data centre and POP site Infrastructure issues and be contactable 24/7 for emergencies
- Management and ordering of Consumables for DC projects and day to day running of the facility.
- Ensure monthly billing of Power Overuse is reported on time
- Ensure customer orders are installed on time and to highest standard by the team.
- Attend customer meetings when required and arrange data centre tours as required

**Accountabilities**
- Ensure Epsilon meets its agreed customer SLA of 99.999% data centre uptime.
- Enable sales to win the deal
- Ensure scheduled maintenance are carried out as per agreed schedule and cost for all M&E equipment.
- Identifies, evaluates, and executes operational strategies to ensure that data centre operations achieve its highest level of availability and redundancy.
- Ensures customer orders are delivered on time
- Ensure key reporting are completed on time:

- Power reporting
- Rack/footprint availability
- Incidents and accident logs
- 3rd party call outs
- M&E equipment repairs
- Proven knowledge of critical facility or DC equipment and their components including UPS, PDU, HVAC & Electrical systems.
- Strong organizational skills in approach and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time without losing sight of the end goal.
- Ability to use MS Office/Visio/O365, CAD & Teams.
- Able to lead from the front to ensure tasks get completed within allotted time frames and accurately.
- Able to work under pressure when unforeseen situations occur.
- Ability to install customer equipment & cabling within the data center environment.
- Knowledge of local laws & regulatory compliances around running & operating a Datacentre in Singapore & APAC region.

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years working in a Mechanical and Electrical data center environment.
- 2 years working as team leader or manager for a small team of engineers.
- Experience working with 3rd party suppliers / contractors.
- Certified Datacentre Management Professional (CDCMP) Certification.
