Venue Manager

Responsibilities

Operational Management
- Ensure the OTH Wellness Garden and Eco-Kiosks are always maintained and fully operational, carry out timely fault reporting and arrange the upkeep, repair and replacement process of all equipment and fixtures.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly facilities maintenance schedule for cleaning, pest control, landscaping, wheelchair lift for the venues if applicable are performed.
- Management of volunteers which include duty scheduling, welfare, on-job training, engagement, and retention.
- Maintain the OTH Wellness Garden with fresh and new plants to increase footfall, raise awareness, and market the garden to Tampines residents and visitors as the sanctuary to relax and revitalise oneself.
- Provide docent services for eco learning journeys, including keeping records of participation numbers, arranging the schedule, coordinating and arranging pre-visits, and liaising with the learning journey requesters, as well as providing docent training on eco learning journeys for students and community volunteers.
- Maintain and update record of the store inventory for the mentioned venues.

Administrative Management
- Keep and update a master copy of attendance record for all activities and programmes to track participation’ numbers.
- Carry out administrative tasks which include program budgeting, goods, and services sourcing to ensure timely submission to OTH Finance for processing.
- Plan the planting schedule of new types of herbs, vegetables, and plants on a quarterly basis.
- Follow up and maintain a record with eco community partners on the quantity of recyclables collected from OTH drop off location which include but not limited to Package Pals Kiosk.

Event Coordination
- Plan, manage and execute activities and programmes which include but not art and music performances, sport exercises, therapeutic gardening workshops, garden tours eco themed workshops and educational talks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies, vendors, community partners and volunteers on all new and existing activities and programmes which include planning, management and execution to ensure the smooth running of the collaborated projects and activities.
- Plan, manage and execute OTH Wellness Garden’s activities and programmes.
- Plan, manage and execute all OTH’s green activities and programmes including but not limited to Repair Kopitiam session and Package Pals sorting session every month.

Supporting Role
- Assist and support in festive events and projects led by OTH including but not limited to Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, OTH Anniversary, National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Deepavali and New Year Eve Countdown.
- Work closely with other venue managers to Plan, manage and support eco-learning journeys, workshops and other eco-projects for Wellness Centre, Eco-Community Garden, and OTH Wellness Garden. Prepare official visits by local and overseas government delegates and diplomats to OTH Wellness Centre, Eco-Community Garden, and Our Wellness Garden.

Requirements
- Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a sustainability industry and horticulture and landscaping management.
- Possess a foundational understanding of environmentalism and sustainability.
- Be passionate about sustainability, social causes, community educa ation and community engagement.
- Enjoy doing research, planning, and writing.
- Be competent in developing, designing, and executing learning journeys and green events.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Managing all facilities matters at OTH Wellness Garden and Eco Kiosks.
- This includes but is not limited to the landscaping maintenance, housekeeping, pest control, electrical points, lightings, etc.
- To manage and work with appointed vendors & contractors to deliver quality events & programmes organised by Hirers and the Authority.
- Taking photographs of each events & programmes and shared with Senior Manager, Integrated Programming for the purpose of reporting, crowd management and ensuring running of the activities and programmes.
- Inventory & store management of logistics under the care of OTH Wellness Garden and Eco-Kiosks.
- This includes but is not limited to the garden supplies and donated recyclables.
- To have dedicated staff onsite at OTH Wellness Centre during all OTH signature events such as but not limited to Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, OTH Anniversary, National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Deepavali and New Year Eve Countdown.
- There should be at least one dedicated staff at each location. In the event, any personnel are not available to be onsite, it is Managing Agent’s responsibilities to find a replacement within 24 hours.
- For reference on the frequency of events & programming for OTH, there are events happening in the hub on all weekends & Public Holidays.
- The venue manager is to plan his/her own 44 hours work schedule per week which will include a weekend and 4 weekday workdays.
