**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Job Summary**

Inform and close (with assistance) leads on products and services of the company where technical knowledge is required in areas such as basic electronics, engineering, colour theory, and colour management. Such knowledge is typically obtained through post-secondary education and/or on-the-job training. Contribute to the development of sales strategy, and sales team improvement.

**Essential Job Tasks:

- Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements
- Contact current or potential customers to promote products or services
- Prepare and submit sales quotations, and other necessary supporting documents for orders
- Visit establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service sales
- Maintain and build customer database and records, using CRM or other automated systems
- Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organise and accomplish your work
- **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Customer and Personal Service - knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and actively looking for ways to help customers.
- Sales and Marketing - knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Active Listening - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others - Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Continuous Improvement - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or the company to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Social Perceptiveness - being aware of other people’s reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Oral Expression and Clarity - the ability to communicate information and ideas clearly so others understand you clearly.
- Oral Comprehension - the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through words and sentences.
- Basic knowledge of Spreadsheet, Presentation, and Word-Processing software - Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software - Salesforce, HubSpot
- Basic technical knowledge of the company’s products and services - this includes a broad understanding of products and services that the company provides, which includes technical details, mechanical workings, basic operations and concepts of technology.
