**MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY MANAGER**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Membership & Community Manager is responsible for managing the engagement of our members from onboarding new members to building our communities. The Membership & Community Manager will sit within the membership team, working closely with the Events and Marketing & Communications teams.

A large focus of the role is to onboard new members and ensure they feel part of the community at 1880. You will be required to build community groups and organize community led events, programming and initiatives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Membership**:

- Respond to membership enquiries, conduct tours and onboard new members
- Respond to member requests for suspensions, terminations and corporate transfers
- Work with membership and finance team for additional member related matters such as renewals, disputes, suspensions, terminations and finance related matters
- Liaising with finance team for member related finance
- Troubleshoot member issues from time to time
- Support Membership & Engagement Director with member analysis, reports and surveys
- Building reciprocity relationships with partners and introducing members to partners
- Manage highly sensitive membership data

**Communities**:

- Create and manage communities for our members from fitness focussed to literature loving groups. Work with the members to understand their passions to help drive the formation of these communities
- Conceptualize, produce and manage community focused initiatives, events and programming, working with the wider 1880 team.
- Ensure a wide and diverse range of communities and associated initiatives are considered
- Ensure all events are organized and planned in time for deadlines and communicated appropriately.

**Bardo (Co-working space)**:

- Manage Bardo - prospective member tours, onboarding new members and creating a Bardo community programme with support of membership team
- Business development, especially for Bardo - including basic business analytics
- Manage Bardo tenants ensuring they are happy and content with the environment and service
- Work with finance team for Bardo invoicing and financial reports
- Work with management team for any renovation related matters affecting Bardo

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong team player
- Must be able to prioritise and multi-task
- Ability to work and maximize relationships within a diverse team
- Strong proficiency in organization, problem solving and communication
- Excellent problem solving abilities and able to deal independently and maturely with uncertainty and challenges.
- Able to implement and materialise programmes and concepts developed
- A minimum of 2 years experience in membership / events / marketing / account management
