Applications Engineer

**Job Description**:
This position has world-wide responsibility for product qualification and support. This role defines product specifications to meet customer requirements and establishes analytical techniques to measure product performance and lifetime.

This individual is responsible for generating and collecting performance data from in-house labs and customer sites and developing innovative solutions. This individual defines QA requirements for manufacturing products including specific customer requirements. This role works with customers to define requirements and qualification plans and to resolve performance issues. This individual will go as needed on-site to customers’ factories to assist with qualifications and to address performance issues.

This role is also responsible for working with the regional sales teams to identify and win new opportunities for the CCW product. This individual should participate in the annual and quarterly planning meetings with the regions.

Detailed Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to the sales team
- Recommend usage method / propose evaluation plan
- Follow up on results of qualification; collect and report data
- Respond to quality issues or other questions.

Support annual business plan in each region
- Participate in the planning process
- Identify TAM and SAM in each region
- Identify / support new opportunities
- Report wins/losses and lessons learned

Support product CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) and new product introduction
- Identify/report product improvements needed
- Prepare test plan for product improvements / new specifications
- Identify new product opportunities / potential customer partners
- Prepare integrated plan with engineering for new product development and qualification
- Manage customer qualifications including reporting results for new product
