PURPOSE

Deputize and support the Appointed Actuary (AA) in areas relating to valuation, reporting and capital management.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES- Lead the EV and IFRS reporting teams and oversee the end-to-end reporting processes, ensuring results, changes and impact are well communicated to stakeholders- Strengthen governance and controls in EV and IFRS reporting. Ensure reporting frameworks implemented are technically sound and in compliance with Group policies- Inspire team members to adopt a change mindset; embed enhancement of reporting processes and improving delivery times and quality as part of the team’s culture- Deliver business value by providing insights arising from actuarial results, as well as highlighting risks in advance to management- Establish good working relationships with and engage Group Office regularly on actuarial topics- Deputize the AA in his / her absence; support the AA in technical reviews, business and strategic discussions whenever necessary- Inspire and develop team members, so as to build a strong team culture as well as a high-performance team

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE- Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science- Qualified actuary with at least 8 years of relevant experience

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS- Very strong technical skills, especially in EV and / or IFRS 17- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Track record in leading high-performance teams- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
