Governance, Employee and Industrial Relations Lead

**Employee Relations (ER)**
- Manage and administer ER cases, including disciplinary matters, misconduct, performance concerns, grievances, redundancies, complex absences to successful resolution.
- Provide advice and counsel to relevant internal stakeholders on managing misconduct or disciplinary actions related to ER cases, policy interpretation and employment practices of in Singapore.
- Assist HOD in the overall management of cases to the Disciplinary Committee / Appeal Committee and the implementation of consequence management and outcome of appeals.
- Maintain required standard of detailed ER cases documentation, including investigation reports, issue analysis, conclusions, recommendations, etc.
- Curate and/or deliver relevant training to improve leader or line managers effectiveness in driving better ER decisions.
- Ensure a coordinated and consistent case management approach to handling ER matters.
**Industrial Relations (IR)**
- Drive and support the HOD and HOU in maintaining industrial harmony with relevant trade unions involved; collective bargaining for collective agreements.
- Act as liaison for CIMB SG to external stakeholders (e.g. MOM, TAFEP, employment lawyers, unions, etc.).
- Case management of all cases pertaining to industrial relations and litigation, where applicable.
- Support for the management of employee monitoring on compliance, business interest and bankruptcy.
**Governance**
- Proactively manage the risk in the Department to reduce the likelihood or impact of negative events.
- Responsible to report and promptly escalate, where necessary, risks to the Department in a timely manner so that the HOD has a clear view of the overall control effectiveness of the unit.
- Execute the operational risk framework and proactively validate department policies, procedures, SOPs for completeness and accuracy, including validation of tests done by tester(s).
- Proactively identify areas with ineffective or inadequate controls and work with relevant stakeholders to enhance overall controls to mitigate compliance risks.
**Others**
- Any other responsibilities, functions or projects that may be assigned.
**Requirements**:
At least 7 years of relevant working experience in human resources practice in the field of governance, employee relations, industrial relations (in a unionized environment is preferred) in financial related sectors
