**ROLE SUMMARY & PROFILE**:
**Overview**

The CQA team performs second line monitoring and quality assurance activities across all ING Asia entities, to assess compliance with banking regulations and the bank’s internal policies. The team also works closely with other Compliance colleagues and the relevant Business Lines to refine the bank’s processes, as part of the bank’s management of compliance risks.

Ideally, you are an individual who is a self-starter, who exudes energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm to join the Asia CQA team. In performing the compliance monitoring reviews, you will leverage trend/data analysis to check compliance with regulations and the bank’s internal policies. You should also be comfortable handling multiple reviews/tasks and interacting with different stakeholders within the bank, including staff in the First-Line-of-Defence and senior management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement and perform compliance monitoring/surveillance programmes to monitor compliance risks across Asia.
- Perform regular testing & quality checks (leveraging data analytics where possible) on the compliance risk management processes.
- Carry out second line monitoring activities associated with the roll-out of policies under the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- To keep abreast of the emerging compliance risks and regulatory environment that the Business operates in, and to proactively identify areas for improvement on testing framework and methodology.
- Multi-task - have the ability to work on several different reviews with different individuals at the same time.
- Based on monitoring results, provide recommendations to improve implementation guidance for Business/Compliance officers on assessment of compliance risks, and ensure that remediation steps are taken by the Business to address gaps in the risk assessments or deficiencies identified in the monitoring results.
- Provide regular reporting to Asia Management and Regional/Local Compliance on monitoring outcomes, including remedial actions.
- Scope of monitoring may expand into other compliance processes, such as functional oversight and reporting of compliance risks in the future

- Experience in compliance assurance/testing, or internal audit a plus.
- Ability to work independently in compliance monitoring and testing activities.
- Knowledge of Wholesale Banking products will be an advantage and Business Analytics or data analytics experience will be looked on favorably.
