Position: Sr Compensation Manager, APAC
Reports to: Global Compensation Director
Job Purpose:
The post holder will be responsible for understanding and working through all compensation matters and processes across the region. In addition, the post holder will be a key member of the Global Compensation team and the APAC Regional People Leadership Team. This individual will assume responsibility for one or more global programmes.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Works with the Compensation Director and Compensation team to ensure timely and efficient management of all compensation programs whilst actively seeking out new opportunities to enhance our employee compensation initiatives to make AVEVA an employer of choice.-
- Acts as a key member of the Regional Asia Pacific Leadership Team (PLT). Takes an active role in socializing compensation initiatives, gaining support and participating in regional projects related to the People Team- Provides education and guidance on compensation issues which allow management to effectively attract, retain and reward their employees in line with the AVEVA pay-for-performance philosophy.- May lead the assessment, negotiation and completion of salary surveys and/or implementation of compensation platforms- Enables the company to achieve its ESG goals including supporting the analysis and identification of pay equity issues; putting in place solutions to close pay gaps; and enabling the hiring and retention of diverse talent- Assists in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programmes and projects and provide Reward focused support for non-compensation processes and projects- Ensures alignment of regional compensation programs with AVEVA compensation philosophy, financial goals and compliance with government regulations and in-country statutory bodies (such as Unions and Works Councils), to measure the effectiveness of programs and policies and understand the landscape for further improvement and effectiveness- Collaborate with the wider People Team to support the data integrity of the HR and payroll information systems.
Important Working Relationships:
- The role reports to the Global Compensation Director. Close working relationships with the compensation team, the wider Reward CoE and Global Human Resources Team, particularly Regional COE leads and Functional HRBPs, is essential to provide a consistent and joined up approach to all Reward activities- It is important that the Compensation Manager is comfortable interacting with employees of all levels and positions throughout the company. As a multi-national company, the post-holder requires sensitivity to other perspectives and cultures.
Essential Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in Compensation with at least 5 years managing, influencing stakeholders and administering compensation programs- Sound knowledge of industry leading compensation or reward best practice- Experience of operating in a regional or global role- Demonstrated ability to work independently within region and take initiative while also being an effective team member- Understanding of effective business operations and strategy and demonstrated ability to link pay and performance with the goals of AVEVA- Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs and develop solutions to resolve them- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships; interface and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation- Strong numeracy, analytical and interpretation skills; with an emphasis on advanced level Excel skills- Strong consulting, verbal and written communication and presentation skills- Attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
