Senior Project Manager, Asia

The Senior Project Manager, Asia will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of IT, Asia during this crucial time of transition to a centralized IT service model with a new Regional Delivery Centre based in Malaysia. You will be a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and driving force in achieving the Head of IT, Asia’s objectives across the region.

The role will work closely with all stakeholders including country, business, technology, regional and vendor resources to ensure successful delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the successful delivery of high-impact and transformational IT projects on time and within budget.
- Manage project risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring seamless implementation and value realization.
- Manage the transition to a centralised IT Service Model with the Regional Delivery Centre based in Malaysia.
- Leverage domain and technical expertise to set direction and drive project execution.
- Work with business, operations, internal technology teams, and with vendors and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Act as primary connection point between internal technology teams and vendors/external partners.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure that resources are allocated appropriately.
- Manage dependencies, issues and risks proactively to identify and manage or mitigate potential problems before they arise.
- Track and communicate project status, issues and risks to stakeholders, and provide regular project updates.
- Drive continuous improvement in the Allianz Technology delivery function by streamlining processes, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing efficiency measures.
- Identify and address critical challenges by implementing solution driven changes while proactively managing risks.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that promotes accountability, delivery, transparency, and collaboration.

**Key requirements***
- University graduate with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of project management experience from multi-national organizations,
- A proven track record of success in a strategic business manager/project manager role within the IT or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with executives across diverse teams and able to interact well with all levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- A proactive and resourceful individual with excellent organizational & time management skills and attention to details.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and thriving under pressure.
