Reporting to the Senior Director of China and North Asia Department under the Global Division 2, you will assist to oversee and organise programmes and business activities with all relevant stakeholders to achieve SBF’s mission and vision, as well as the divisional objectives, which include:

- Strengthen SBF’s ties with relevant government agencies, various business associations and international organisations, especially in China and North Asia markets.
- Assist in the assigned market/s (China and North Asia) and support business development, project facilitation, deal origination and stakeholders’ management.
- Engage Singapore companies and develop deep understanding of their needs for internationalisation.
- Facilitate business activities such as business missions for Singapore businesses and facilitate formation of Singapore companies’ participation in trade fairs.
- Conduct business advisory and business matching services to Singapore businesses.
- Create awareness and interest for business opportunities in China and North Asia region.
- Provide market research, strategic report preparation, market analysis and intelligence input on the assigned market(s) or region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and enhance working relationships with local and foreign partners, including government bodies, business chambers / associations and Singapore and foreign companies.
- Facilitate projects, events, and seminars to promote and develop trade and investments, including facilitating deals and projects for member companies for the China and North Asia region.
- Assist in bilateral and multi-lateral business committee meetings, preparation of meeting reports, presentation materials, etc.
- Support key initiatives, including key national level projects, such as China-ASEAN Expo, and China International Import Expo.
- Contribute and sustain the partnership building for SBF’s key initiatives.
- Organise business activities such as business missions and facilitate formation of Singapore companies’ participation in overseas trade fairs, missions, and workshops.
- Promote key activities through marketing and coordination with all relevant parties.
- Identify business trends and opportunities in China and North Asia markets and generate business opportunities for Singapore companies.
- Manage the database of companies and maintain relationships with them.
- Conduct research work into different markets and industries.

**Job Requirements**
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in marketing/ business development, corporate secretaries, event planning and execution.
- Experience working with government agencies or NGOs is preferred.
- A good understanding of local and international business environments, and how economic and political trends impact business.
- An analytical and creative thinker, displaying the ability to demonstrate business acumen in a logical and process-oriented manner.
- Relevant working experience in the relevant countries (such as China, Japan, Korea) would be an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly collaborative and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Effectively bilingual for business correspondence from English to Chinese and vice versa; fluency in a North Asian language would be an added advantage for the North Asia region to liaise with associates from assigned markets.
