Singapore Control Risks Full time

Control Risks is looking to hire an experienced **Brand Protection Specialist** to work as an embedded consultant, within our tier-1 multinational client, to support their Brand Protection Program in the Asia Pacific region. This senior role will require a strong mix of research and data analysis skills, gained from a background in brand protection or intellectual property. Our client offers a highly interesting and evolving corporate environment, sitting at the forefront of technological innovation.

**Duties will involve**:

- Investigate a variety of incidents including prototype recovery, supply chain, and unauthorized sales of property
- Utilise the capabilities in the Forensic Lab to conduct forensic analysis of devices and integrate data to build insightful tools and visualisations to support investigations.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate findings, and present solutions
- Research and monitor piracy technologies to stay current on the latest piracy and counterfeiting methods and trends
- Quickly remove posts advertising counterfeit products, engaging in brand impersonation, and infringing on intellectual property
- Conduct online research to identify brand abuse, digital piracy, potential counterfeit, or supply chain leakage
- Solve tough brand protection challenges
- Detect and take action against the most visible brand-abusing websites around the world

**Requirements**:

- Experience with data analysis and online research methods, notably within online marketplaces or platforms
- Experience with piracy and counterfeit methods and mitigations, knowledge of powerful automated takedown tools
- Advanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables
- Experience in automation of information collection
- Experience using visualization tools such as Tableau or BI
- Experience analyzing data to detect deficient controls, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies
- Working knowledge of brand protection or intellectual property
- Experience using Python or similar technologies
- Experience with supply chain or intellectual property
- Advanced knowledge of online investigation techniques and internet protocols
