**Team Summary**
The Asia Pacific regional communication team creates and delivers communication programs that drive Visa’s business growth and advance and protect the company’s reputation. The team focuses on communication programs to support the region’s leaders and prominent business functions including Asia Pacific’s President and senior leadership team, Products & Solutions, Innovation, New Flows, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, Risk, Consulting and Analytics, Technology, and Strategy. We work across external, client and employee communication activities to promote Visa’s ongoing strategy to extend our payments network into new areas of opportunity and position ourselves as the partner of choice for banks, merchants, fintechs, technology companies and governments. In close partnership with the business functions, our team defines the company’s positions in the region on a wide range of industry topics and delivers corresponding thought leadership content.
**What an Associate, Corporate Communication, does at Visa**:
The Associate, Corporate Communication is a full-time role focused on supporting employee communication and engagement. The role will be based in Singapore reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Communication and Organisational Culture, Asia Pacific, and will assist in managing local market teams and in-market agencies to support the respective markets to deliver effective communication programs across the markets.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Collate and edit content for internal newsletters and memos
- Manage Visa internal channels, e.g.. digital screens, company intranet
- Create and maintain a content calendar/news engine to source, write and publish compelling stories about our business, employees and industry across Asia Pacific, and amplify external news, to educate and inspire employees via our internal intranet site.
- Provide support for planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives (e.g. agenda planning, drafting communications, supporting content development, managing a photoshoot, testing/managing tech for in-person or virtual events)
- Maintain internal briefing presentations
**Why this is important to Visa**
The role is part of Visa’s Global Corporate Communication group, which oversees all corporate communication functions at Visa Inc., including media relations, public affairs and issues management. The individual will be part of developing the communication programs that support Visa Inc.'s brand, marketing, product, and technology strategies to deliver on business objectives and drive growth. Working across functions in the region, the individual will help Visa achieve our business objectives through strategic communication programs to manage the complexity of the region and support business development.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Communications/ Public Relations, English, Journalism or equivalent experiences
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in public relations or corporate communication within an agency or large corporate environment
- Experience in working with media and a solid understanding of what makes a compelling content creation and for multi-platform campaigns
- Experience with social media and digital communication channels
- Proven ability to effectively draft, edit present and proofread communications materials
- Experience in developing strategic employee communications planning and delivery
- Superior interpersonal and presentation skills
- Outstanding spoken and written English, and high-level attention to detail
- Superior technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and content management systems, photography and video production skills are a plus
