Head of Data Technology Foundation Engineering

**Responsibilities**:

- Manages risk by using established technology delivery management and control processes to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule, and cost.
- Implements delivery and technology management approach for projects and associated plans to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.
- Owns financial responsibility for Data and Analytics standard platforms and resources.
- Manages team to interpret business requirements into technology specifications, ensures platform stability, data quality, and client support.
- Partners to drive adoption of new selected technologies into standard support models and systems.
- Directs LOB technology lead managers to ensure effective project execution, risk and issue identification, management, and escalation.
- Manages and delivers all aspects of analytics grid and integration with new Big Data capabilities including introduction and training on newest capabilities and services.
- Provides rapid response resources to deliver business augmentation and data support (including data movement services).
- Synthesize analyses, identifies root causes, and develops plans for remediation of issues pertaining to Data and Analytics.
- Facilitates development of project plans related to schedule, budget, scope, and resources while monitoring project execution to deliver incremental business value.
- Provides client support for all NA platforms including Analytical and Warehousing technologies.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years managerial experience
- Degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related work experience
- 15+ years experience managing technology projects and resources, relevant business support and/or general analysis experience

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree and managerial experience

The head of Technology Foundation will lead the Foundation Engineering teams, defining the data science roadmap, innovation process, and ensuring that Citi continues to be at the forefront of development and delivery of data driven and automated products and solutions in the area of Financial and Data tech. This person will take charge of business intelligence and product experimentation on our analytics platform. He/She will be responsible for defining, measuring and understanding key metrics, influencing business strategy through data and product roadmap. To achieve this, this role shall up level the team’s capabilities through emphasis on infrastructure readiness, data integrity and governance. The person will drive a culture of excellence to demonstrate what great insights and quality looks like, collaborating closely with sponsors in defining the data collection needs, the data schema, in order to guarantee that there is high data quality and reliability across the business.

2. Recommend best technical practices/patterns for tools & Products

3. Create technical roadmap and manage tech-stack driven development

4. Perform POC for new tools/ integration patterns and deploy to production

5. Identify and implement automated tools to replace manual process/ tasks

6. Identify the need for tools, dashboards and frameworks based on learnings

7. Represent Data Team in ARB and other technical forums

8. Build & manage tech stack COE team

9. Collaborate with Application, Solution, SRE, S&S and PSM.
