**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for and full ownership of all EHS matters and legal compliance in Singapore and Regional Sites
- Develop Singapore as Centre of Excellence for EHS which is to be modeled in the region.
- Acts as advisory role to Regional EHS staff and joint responsibility/ownership with Country Managers on all EHS matters and compliance.
- Train and advice regarding safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations, including OHSAS18001 and ISO14001
- Manage the ISO 140001 and OHSAS 18001 Certification Program and audits
- Conduct regular routine inspections of all buildings, facilities, canteen and equipment for compliance with general and specific safety standards; reports non-compliance and/or hazardous conditions and recommend remedial action as appropriate.
- Develop and implement on-site environment, health, and safety protocols and procedures, in accordance with YCH’s EHS policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct on-site investigations of accidents and incidents involving fire, hazardous materials, unsafe situations, and/or non-compliance issues; prepare reports and make recommendations for procedural changes as necessary.
- Serve as chemical safety officer; inspect, evaluate, and oversee the maintenance and disposition of all hazardous materials stored; monitor usage of hazardous materials and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Monitor and inspect fire, safety, and environmental equipment and facilities for serviceability and compliance with established regulations, policies, and standards.
- Develop and implement on-site safety, and/or emergency management programs designed to respond to individual situations and to improve overall safety conditions.
- Keep up-to-date on current local legislation, regulation changes, and changes to fire/safety codes and manuals; maintain knowledge of current and emerging issues and trends in area of specialty.
- Develop and maintain detailed manual and/or automated records, to include locations and inspections of potentially hazardous areas.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
**Job Requirements**
- Diploma / Degree in any field with
- A registered Safety Officer licence from MOM is required.
- ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 internal auditor or lead auditor certified.
- Experience in managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system.
- At least 2 years of safety officer experience, preferably in warehousing and logistics.
- At least 3 years of experience in developing and managing of ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 or ISO 45001:2018 certification and audits
- Able to communicate with all levels
- Preferably with confine space and work at height certificates
- Able to work irregular hours whenever required.
