Health, Safety and Sustainability Manager

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Health, Safety and Sustainability Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of effective EHS policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Lead regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and preparation of reports with recommended actions.
  • Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and EHS training programs to raise awareness and promote safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of all EHS activities, including audits, inspections, and incident reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant EHS legislation, industry best practices, and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of EHS experience at managerial level with a main construction firm preferred.
  • Familiar with local EHS regulations, construction safety codes, and audit requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills to engage with various stakeholders, project team, and etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS reporting tools.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and respond effectively during site emergencies.
