The APAC Head of Employee Communications and Engagement enables a deeper connection to our vision of being a global Centre of Experimentation, Innovation and Leadership, a deeper understanding of our strategy and the actions needed to achieve it. The role drives alignment and direction for our leaders in the region. The position connects the regional Company Group Chair and leadership team with the 8000 employees of MedTech across APAC. This includes:

- Support and drive the strategic priorities of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Business in APAC, enabling the Corporation to solidify its leadership position in innovative and meaningful healthcare solutions for surgeons and patients
- Develop and implement a communications and engagement plan that serves to illustrate and drive commitment to the APAC strategy, as the foundation for activities across markets and provides key guidance to the market communicators
- Support the business in leading people though change, crisis, executive movement, organizational or strategic developments and important moments that matter to our company and people
- Develop a cadence of impactful employee communications across the calendar, using new and digital tools where possible
- Work as a team to drive the Company Group Chairs’ marquee events, the regional executive summits on strategy, execution and company culture
- Manage the regional executive Town Hall program to bring essential and engaging content that aligns and supports the development of the top 200 leaders in the region
- Support the Company Group Chair with detailed scripts, messaging and content for internal engagements and platforms
- Support the country Annual Sales Training Meetings that kick off each year for employees in each market.
- Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the impact J&J can have as a positive force for good in the communities we serve.
- Lead the capability development of the communications team, implementing best in class tools, systems and technology and actively leverage global programs for implementation in APAC
- Enable functions and teams to contribute, publish and participate in internal comms - provide the framework and capabilities guidance and training to enable self help
- Showcase APAC stories in regional and global channels and work seamlessly across the comms team in the joint development of impactful stories that create meaningful and emotional connection
- Implement an effective tracking, measurement and reporting program for continuous improvemen

Reporting to the Head of Communications for MedTech Asia Pacific, the position will be responsible for all aspects of the MedTech business in APAC. It requires relationships with all aspects of the Johnson & Johnson business and functional stakeholders including our 3 franchises, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Legal, Human Resources, Health Economics & Market Access, Medical Affairs and Public Health.

With a focus on best in class engagement, the role demands fluency in employee engagement, executive communications, messaging and story development, events (digital and live), media engagement and digital tools. The role requires the ability to articulate the areas of highest value to the business and lead a plan based on business strategy and the needs of our people.

The role requires a proven track record of developing a business aligned communications strategy and content for senior executives. Critical is experience of leading business wide change and engagement programs and the ability to prioritize key messages and programs. Working directly with the senior leadership of the company, this role requires strong business and communications savvy and the confidence to guide business executives to be impactful and effective. It requires cohesive brand storytelling and cross enterprise narrative building to different audiences.

The position must successfully influence in a complex organization and demonstrate a high level of accountability to outcomes. Most critically, the role must break down silos, work seamlessly as team player and work to both receive and promote stories across the channels and programs of the whole MD comms team.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of communication experience is required.
- Direct experience in leading high impact, multi country programs to media and key stakeholders.
