**The role: VP, Marketing & Brand Development Services
This is an exciting opportunity to set up Rainforest’s in-house agencies to deliver best-in-class marketing and brand growth services to our portfolio of brands. This role will oversee marketing services, creative design services, dot com stores services and product development.
We’re looking for a leader with a mix of operational agency experience with a high bar for both throughput and quality, to build a team that serves our brand responsively and top-notch deliverables. You should be comfortable with juggling across the demands of speed, cost, and quality in delivery.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead our in-house agencies: Marketing services, Creative design, dot com stores and Product development, with our brands and corporate Rainforest as ‘clients’
- Set up and continuously improve the processes between each agency and the brands as well one another and with other functions to create highly efficient teams
- Guide the teams by setting priorities and develop strategies to service our brand portfolio to deliver optimum results with given resourcing
- Work closely with the brand managers to develop brand strategy, including the setting style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition
- Marketing services
- The priority would be support to brands with D2C focus, but will also cover marketplace centric brands as well as services for Rainforest corporate marketing
- Brand and Creative design
- Propose and set brand direction and guidelines in partnership with brand managers
- This team will be responsible for creating creative content in written, graphic, photographic and video formats for the brands as well as for Rainforest corporate
- Dot com stores
- This team is responsible for development and support of dot com stores (typically Shopify) for the brands
- Product development
- This team is responsible for ideating, sourcing and project management and launching of new products for our brands
- This team will also be responsible for customer insights and product quality assurance
**Job requirements**:
- Proven 7+ years of experience as a general manager or leader in agency type set up or in ecommerce/ FMCG space, across multiple functions
- Strong project & people management skills. Demonstrated ability to bring the best out of team members through a mix of structured management and personal development
- Adept at setting up SLAs and processes to ensure we are tracking to business needs
- Ability to quickly prioritize and assign tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of organization, and impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to handle aggressive deadlines and prioritize work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment
- Experience in US, EU & Asia markets and at least 5 years’ experience of working in a regional or global role. Thorough understanding of the market diversity between multiple markets, and able to work with teams with cultural diversity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate, engage, and steer multiple function teams for effective collaboration. Track record of change management, and strong project management skills involving multi-discipline functions. Result-oriented and solution-focused.
- Passionate about customer centricity with a track record of initiating projects/processes leading to strong performance on marketing planning and business results.
- Understanding of FMCG and eCommerce industry is a plus
