McConnell Dowell is seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team in Singapore. If you’re passionate about driving commercial excellence and contributing to high-impact projects across Southeast Asia, this role is for you
**About the Role**
- As the Regional Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing commercial and contractual activities within our Business Unit. Your expertise will ensure the effective implementation of our commercial policies and the successful identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
- You’ll also focus on the professional development of contract administration and project management staff, contributing to our legacy of excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and promote training initiatives for commercial tools within the Business Unit.
- Manage and resolve contractual and commercial disputes, including coordination with legal counsel and insurance representatives.
- Review and critique tender submissions to mitigate risks and negotiate favorable terms.
- Assist in drafting subcontractor and consultant contracts, ensuring compliance with appropriate commercial standards.
- Support the preparation and development of joint venture agreements, pre-bid documentation, and MOUs.
- Provide advice on contractual matters, compliance with legislation, and industry standards.
- Maintain the Commercial Disputation Log and collaborate on continuous improvement of company standards.
**What We’re Looking For**
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years in project or contractual engineering roles at a management level.
- Leadership: Strong ability to inspire and develop teams, with a focus on achieving organizational goals.
- Technical Acumen: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex commercial challenges.
- Communication: Skilled in making the complex understandable and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
