**POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Talent Acquisition reports to Vice President, Human Resources (VP, HR) of Capella Hotel Group (CHG).
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive, manage and coordinate the full-spectrum of the resourcing function which includes recruitment, sourcing, selection and employment for Capella Hotel Group and its properties. This position will play a key role in providing professional support and advice to management, in identifying and acquiring of talent into the organization, and including the movement of internal talent within the Group. He / she will be responsible for the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures relating to resourcing and employment for the Group.
**THE ROLE**
- Lead in talent acquisition, recruitment and hiring of all key positions. Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Review and update Employment & Recruitment policies and standards of procedures for the group and ensure their communication through to all management and concerned colleagues for proper implementation and understanding
- Prepare and update job descriptions and talent profiles. Importantly these need to reflect leadership and colleagues’ competencies across the group
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Maintain knowledge of current employment legislation and ensure that managers are effectively briefed on any relevant changes as deemed required.
- Developing plans for internal and short-term secondments within the group and hotels throughout the Group.
- Manpower planning, including annual budgeting of recruitment costs
- Administration of all employment requisitions and employment contracts to ensure proper compliance, standards and procedures are met per company policy and guidelines.
- Manage and participate in resourcing efforts to acquire the most qualified and suitable talent by recommending the most cost-effective recruitment channels, including the management of search firms and recruitment companies.
- Sourcing and maintenance of recruitment channels/tools, including CHG career website, on-line website, e-recruitment system and tertiary institutions alumni network.
- Will pro-actively develop creative talent acquisition solutions if the organization is facing challenges in attracting the appropriate level and quality of talent and associates.
- In consultation with the Vice President, Human Resources to develop and implement strategy of attracting and retaining Talent to ensure talent pipelines are continuously being strengthened in order to support its business and current needs, as well as the future growth of the business
- Responsible for the recruitment of all levels in the CHG Corporate Office, Regional Sales Offices, Hotel General Managers, and any other key talent or critical roles for both corporate and property level.
- Supporting the hiring managers and/or respective and HR Directors on properties in the recruitment of Guidance Team positions
- Manage graduate and intern recruitment in consultation and collaboration with Corporate Director, HR & Learning.
- Provide professional support and advice on recruitment to line and departmental managers, and advise managers on best practice recruitment and selection;
- Conducts interviews and psychometric tests as deemed required.
- Ensure talent profiles are discussed and agreed with the hiring managers prior to any initiation of recruitment.
- Effectively markets CHG as employer of choice, leveraging our brand.
Pre-Opening
- Working with stakeholders to prepare manning and pre-opening budget.
- Responsible for recruitment of General Managers and Guidance Team Members for pre-opening properties in the absence of property Director of HR.
**TALENT PROFILE**
- 8 - 10 years Human Resources management experience required preferably in the hospitality industry and minimum experience of 1 to 2 year in the same position
- Strong written communication skills required with an understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and colleagues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Will roll-up the sleeves to get ready to implement, tackle something difficult and to commit to getting something done
