**Team Summary**
**What a Director, Merchant Optimization, Asia Pacific does at Visa**:
The Director of Merchant Optimization will lead the Authorization Improvement Program for CyberSource AP.
The role holder will strive for authorisation excellence across the Cybersource platform.
Specifically he/she will:
- Define and lead cross-functional strategies to optimize online merchant authorization performance in AP
- Be the internal and external authorisation expert for merchants/acquirers across Asia
- Drive conversations with regional counterparts in client-facing strategic engagements to define and deliver best in class authorisation performance
- Join the dots between Client services, Risk Managers & Client Relationship Managers in conducting authorisation performance reviews with a broader range of clients including the assessment of multiple parameters and technical setups to recommend corresponding adjustments that ensure continuous availability and optimal authorization performance.
- Develop ongoing reviews of regional decline rates, identification of decline drivers and development of an integrated approach to reducing declines.
- Proactively understand how new products/services, as well as industry and technology trends impact on authorisation performance and how in turn that impacts our clients
- Maintain and build rapport with regional peers and other teams across Visa Inc. to exchange ideas, learn and leverage best practices.
- Stepping back from day-to-day activities to view the business from different perspectives and to see the bigger picture.
- Using facts to support observations and closely tracking industry and competitive trends as well as regulatory and legislative changes that can affect (negatively or positively) bottom line results for theorganization.
- Making decisions thoughtfully, despite the complexity of the issues or the pressure involved.

Projects you will be a part of:
You will be required to work closely with regional Sales teams, Internal operations teams, product teams to ensure success. The success of the role will be measured upon the growth of revenue based upon the Payment success rate of key clients of Cybersource. You will also be driving the commercialization aspects of this consultation to further monetize the value chain that we bring to our clients and consulting with major key clients within the AP region.
